Adolescent Counseling

Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood. With individual differences, it covers an average age of 12-21. Adolescence, which we can also define as spiritual, physical and social maturation, is a period in which rapid physical changes occur and a sense of identity begins to form.

Trying to find where one belongs in the development of the sense of identity, adapting to the new body, and adapting to the environment may also cause some problems that may be difficult to cope with.

School problems, future plans and difficulties, and difficulties in social relations indicate that the adolescent may experience communication conflicts both within himself and with the environment.

As such, families are also involved in the process and the difficulties mentioned affect the entire family dynamic, and as a result, the period may appear as a period of crisis. Having some difficulties during the adaptation process is a common and normal situation. However, early recognition of the problems that arise during this period and getting professional help are important to overcome this period with less damage.
